January 31st – Biggest Night for 1st Dates
Going out on a first date tonight? If you are, you certainly are not alone. A new survey has revealed that the last day of this month is the years biggest day for first dates. January has always been known for break ups but new figures have shown that the 31st of this month is due to be the year’s biggest night for first dates.
In fact, according to estimates, a big 70,000 of these dates will culminate into a new romance by February. Seems that people are starting to get over the holidays funk and are back to work and ‘life’ – ready to move forward for the new year. I suppose it Valentine’s Day drawing near has something to do with it too!
Shopping for Wedding Favors!
I have been helping my dear BFF plan her wedding. I ove to shop so this has been fun! Right now I’ve been put in charge of finding cute yet practical wedding favors and I can’t believe just how many are out there! I am a lover of ‘wine and spirits‘ so I totally love this:

Not sure how well this will go over with the guy guests – so maybe we’l have to pick 2 favors, one for the women and one for the men? Hahaha!
Going Back to the Workforce
A good friend of mine, Jenn, has recently told me she is considering getting back in those medical scrubs and going back into the work force. She also wants to finish her schooling – she was going to college to be a radiology technician but that was put on hold when she had her daughter this past May.
I certainly wish her the best. I thought about going back to the workforce but honestly, I love working from home. I make a decent amount of money and don’t have to worry about travel, work clothing, finding childcare, etc. Sme people ust need that ‘adult’ interaction on a daily basis. Me? Not somuch.
The Latest Shopping Adventure
Well, not only am I helping to plan a wedding, I’ve now been put on baby shower planning duty! I’ve been trying to do a it of research on baby shower etiquette, as I ahve never planned one before. I’ve visited several baby shower forums too and I’m finding a lot of interestng information, information that is sure helpful to me.

A Common Theme
I was just reading over this blog and I had to laugh at the common theme here. SNOW. I really hate snow, although it’s nice to look at now and then, I truly don’t like it. We don’t usually get the nice fluffy fun to play in snow around here. We get the snow moxed with sleet fall on your ass stuff.
The big snow storm that was supposed to hit us this weekend seems to have bypassed us, for the most part. We didn’t get near as much as predicted. Whew!
